The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Blotter is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal different or additional information. ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Car Seat Safety Checks, the Sully District Station conducts car seat inspections twice a month from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to install the seat prior to arriving. Officers will inspect the car seat as well as provide education on how to properly fit your child in your car seat. This free service is on a first come, first serve basis as only the first thirty five vehicles will be inspected. Please contact the Sully District Station at 703-814-7000 x5140 for upcoming inspection dates.

BURGLARY, 14000 block of Eagle Chase Circle, 10/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

5200 block of Stoney Branch Court, credentials and bag from vehicle

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Milway Drive, 10/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

8400 block of Fort Hunt Road, cell phone from school

3300 block of SouthGate Drive, machinery from vehicle

 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7700 block of Lisle Avenue, cash from residence

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2100 block of San Moritz Circle, tools from residence

11800 block of Sunrise Valley Drive, cases of beer from business

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 5000 block of Malone Ridge Street, 10/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

6500 block of Frontier Drive, perfumes from business

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 8180 Silverbrook Road, 10/17/13, 3:07 a.m. A man entered the lobby of a hotel, displayed a gun and demanded money. An employee complied and the suspect fled. The suspect was described as black, about 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall, and wearing a black mask, black jacket and blue jeans.

8400 block of Old Keene Mill Road, cell phone and keys from business

12900 block of Grays Pointe Road, items from residence

12300 block of Oak Creek Lane, license plates from vehicle

6700 block of Spring Mall Road, credit card from business

12600 block of Victoria Station Court, Chevy Pickup 2000
