ANNOUNCEMENTS

CAR SEAT SAFETY CHECKS, Franconia District Station, 11/2/13, 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  The inspections are done on a first come first served basis. Be sure to install the child safety seat yourself, so the inspection can be performed. The seat will be properly re-installed if necessary, and you will learn how to install the seat properly in the future. If you have any further questions please call the Franconia Police District Station at 703-922-0889.

There will be a SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT Saturday night, November 2, in the Mount Vernon Police District.

 

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 10/31/13. Officers from the Sully, McLean and Reston Police Districts patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Six drivers were charged with DWI. Fifty-nine summonses were issued. Also, four criminal charges were made.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 5800 block of North Kings Highway, 10/31/13, 1:42 a.m. A man entered a convenience store and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

6300 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business

7600 block of Richmond Highway, wallet from business

 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Tysons Corner

LARCENIES:

1300 block of Chain Bridge Road, items from business

8100 block of Strawberry Lane, wallet from business

STOLEN VEHICLES:

8200 block of Greensboro Drive, 2000 Ford Focus

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 4000 block of Oak Hill Drive, 10/31/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

3200 block of Nealon Drive, wallet from business

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, Maleady Drive/Parcher Avenue, 10/31/13, 10 p.m. A woman was walking when she was assaulted by two men who then stole property from the victim. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. No suspect description was available.

1400 block of North Point Village Center, bottle of liquor from business

None reported

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6200 block of Old Keene Mill Court, 10/31/13. An employee reported someone entered the business but it did not appear anything was taken.

10800 block of Split Oak Lane, electronic device and items from vehicle

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

Robbery at BB&T Bank in Fairfax

LARCENIES:

4900 block of Cahoon Court, wallet from vehicle

3100 block of Cobb Hill Lane, license plate from vehicle

12700 block of Heron Ridge, medication from residence

13900 block of Metrotech Drive, items from business
