ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

 CHECKPOINT, Arlington Boulevard at Allen Street, 11/8/13. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. 509 vehicles passed through. One driver was charge with DWI. Thirteen summonses were issued.

BURGLARY, 6800 block of Muskett Way, 11/10/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 2300 block of Glasgow Road, 11/8/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

SHOPLIFTING/FRAUD, 8300 block of Leesburg Pike, 11/8/13. Officers were called for a man and woman possibly shoplifting. The man fled from officers and was apprehended a short distance away. Following an investigation, Kimberly Lancaster, 34, Haymarket, was charged with petit larceny. Franklin Smith, 41, of Stone Ridge, VA, was charged with petit larceny, provide false information to law enforcement, false identity, and possession of burglarious tools. A warrant was also served for another jurisdiction.

BURGLARY, 2000 block of Mayfair McLean Court, 11/8/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, Gallows Road/Gatehouse Road, 11/11/13. A food delivery woman was getting items out of her car when a suspect approached. The suspect assaulted her and demanded cash. The suspect fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as black, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing all black.

ROBBERY, Hartland Road/Prescott Drive, 11/10/13. A man was walking home when two suspects approached. They demanded cash. The victim did not have cash, so they assaulted him and took his bag and cell phone. The victim received a minor injury. The suspects fled on foot. The suspects were described as black in their 20s. One was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing a baseball cap.

BURGLARY, 11500 block of Cedar Chase Road, 11/10/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6800 block of Commerce Street, 11/8/13. Officers responded for a commercial burglary alarm. Darwana Black, 33, of Maryland, was apprehended and charged with burglary and grand larceny.

BURGLARY, 7200 block of Vellex Lane, 11/10/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

SHOPLIFTING, 10300 block of New Guinea Road, 11/8/13. Officers were called for two people possibly stealing from the business. Following an investigation, David Selby, 26, of Alexandria, and Michael Haskins, 33, of Washington DC, were each charged with grand larceny.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 10400 block of Malone Court, 11/10/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence. No property was taken.

BURGLARY, 9000 block of Little River Turnpike, 11/11/13. An employee reported someone entered the church and took property.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

DWI, McLearen Road/Sully Road, 11/8/13. A vehicle struck a police vehicle which was stopped with its emergency lights on. The striking vehicle continued driving down the road. The officer stopped the vehicle and William Silva, 46, of Manassas, was charged with DWI 2nd and hit and run. There were no injuries.
