MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY

TRUCK INSPECTIONS, Stratton Woods Park, Reston Police District, 11/12/13. Officers stopped and inspected seventeen trucks. Five trucks were taken out of service. Thirty-four total violations were found. Virginia State Police and Herndon Police also participated,

 

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 5000 block of General Johnston Place, 11/12/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

5800 block of Belcher Farm Drive, pumpkins from residence

4700 block of Stonecroft Boulevard, cell phone from school

 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2000 block of Huntington Avenue, jewelry from residence

2100 block of Woodmont Road, ring and cash from residence

 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 7000 block of Metropolitan Place, 11/12/13, 2:19 p.m. A resident reported an unknown man attempted to open a door. The man left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Nothing was taken.

7900 block of Tysons Corner Center, stroller from vehicle

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7200 block of Arlington Boulevard, wallet from business

3400 block of South Jefferson Street, purse from business

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2300 block of Glen Echo Road, 11/12/13, 1:28 a.m. Police responded for an alarm at a clubhouse for an apartment complex. John Paul Diaz, 22, of Herndon, was charged with unlawful entry. Nothing was taken.

11500 block of Lake Newport Road, cash from residence

13200 block of Parcher Avenue, electronic device and cell phone from school

South Lakes Drive/Southgate Square, license plate from vehicle

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

6000 block of Flanders Street, wallet from residence

STOLEN VEHICLES:

5600 block of Vine Street, 2006 Ford F25

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7800 block of Heritage Drive, purse from vehicle

9800 block of Lakepointe Drive, tools from vehicle

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 730 Marshall Road, 11/12/13, 1:30 a.m. Police responded for a report of a man sleeping inside a trailer at a local school. Joshua Damon Evans, 30, of Washington D.C. was charged with unlawful entry. Nothing was taken.

4000 block of Chain Bridge Road, laptop computer from business

 

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL BITE, Ruggles Court/Fountainhead Drive, 11/12/13, 9:07 p.m. A man was walking when a dog allegedly bit him on the hand. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was described as a Rottweiler and was being walked by a woman described as Hispanic and short.
