ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 11/16/13. Officers from the Mason Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. Twenty summonses and one warning were issued. Also, two criminal charges were made.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 15100 block of Wetherburn Drive, 11/15/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

PURSUIT, 5600 block of Stone Road, 11/17/13, 3:12 p.m. A police officer attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle but instead the driver fled. In the area of 5700 Newton Patton Drive, the motorcycle left the road and entered nearby woods. It was reported that the driver of the motorcycle entered a residence in the 14400 block of William Carr Lane. Police responded and took the driver into custody. Nicholas Kavounis, 23, of Centreville, was charged with reckless driving, speed to elude, driving on a revoked driver’s license, no vehicle registration and no state inspection.

PEEPING, 14900 block of Cub Run Park Drive, 11/17/13, 5:25 p.m. A resident looked out the window and saw someone looking into the room. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

BURGLARY, 6400 block of McCoy Road, 11/18/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 6600 block of The Parkway, 11/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 7400 block of Lee highway, 11/16/13, 7:32 p.m. A man entered an auto service station and assaulted an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. The suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a brown jacket.

BURGLARY, 2200 block of Senseney Lane, 11/16/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 800 block of Linganore Drive, 11/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, necklace from business

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Bellview Drive, 11/16/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, 3300 block of Woodburn Village Drive, 11/16/13, 5:53 a.m. A woman was walking when a man grabbed her purse and assaulted her. The victim’s cry for help resulted in several nearby residents coming to her aid and restraining the suspect until police arrived.  Mohamed Barakat, 26, of Reston, was charged with robbery and assault.

ROBBERY, 6200 block of 8th Street, 11/17/13, 7:55 p.m. A man was walking when he was assaulted from behind by several individuals. One suspect took his wallet. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. No suspect description was available.

BURGLARY, 3200 block of Locker Street, 11/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 7100 block of Pennys Town Court, 11/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2500 block of Reston Parkway, 11/17/13. A woman was walking on a pathway when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as black, 30 to 40’s and about 6 feet tall.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT, Fairfax County Parkway/Walnut Branch Road, 11/17/13, 02:25 a.m. A police officer attempted a traffic stop on a Jeep SUV but instead the driver of the Jeep fled. The pursuit went through the Town of Herndon and back into Fairfax County. The pursuit ended on Saylers Creek Lane where the driver was taken into custody. Jordan Fleger, 25, of Herndon, was charged with DWI, speed to elude, refusal of breath test and disregarding a traffic signal.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 7400 block of Long Pine Drive, 11/16/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, Jayhawk Street/King William Court, 11/17/13, 10:14 p.m. A woman was walking when two men approached her. The first suspect assaulted her and the second suspect grabbed her purse, and they both fled on foot. The suspects were described as black, and in their 20s.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 7900 block of Foote Lane, 11/15/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 8200 block of Glen Eagles Lane, 11/16/13. An employee reported someone entered the church and took property.

LARCENIES:

6000 block of Burke Commons Road, three cases of beer from business

6100 block of Rolling road, purse from vehicle

STOLEN VEHICLES:

7900 block of Ethan Allen Lane, 2006 Nissan Murano

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 3945 block of Plum Run Court, 11/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
