SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 5200 block of Woodleaf Court, 11/18/13, 3:58 p.m. A resident reported a man attempted to force entry into the residence but left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Responding police officers were able to take two suspects into custody. Cristian Anthony Melendez, 18, of Centreville, was charged with breaking & entering, carrying a concealed weapon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Juvenile petitions will be sought for a 16-year-old Centreville male in connection with this case.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, Holland Road/Holland Court, 11/18/13, 6:35 p.m. A man was walking when he was approached by two suspects. Both suspects displayed knives and took property from the victim. There were no injuries. The suspects were described as black and in their 20s.

ROBBERY, 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, 11/19/13, 1 a.m. A man entered a convenience store and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build.

ASSAULT ON POLICE, Lockheed Boulevard/Fordson Road, 11/16/13, 5:25 p.m. A police officer responded for a report of a drunken person and took the suspect into custody. During the arrest the suspect assaulted the officer and damaged the inside of a police crusier. Umaru Bah, 31, of Alexandria, was charged with assault on police, destruction of property and drunk in public.

LARCENIES:

MASON DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4900 block of Manitoba Drive, 11/15/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence but nothing was taken.

6300 block of Columbia Pike, 2003 Suzuki Aria

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

11800 block of Market Street, cell phones from business

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

None reported

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, Silverbrook Road/White Spruce Way, 11/18/13, 9 a.m. A woman was walking when a man approached and inappropriately touched her. He fled and she was not injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic and in his 30’s.

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

STOLEN VEHICLES:

12200 block of Grassy Hill Court, 2007 Infiniti X35

12000 block of Ridge Knoll Drive, 1991 GMC Cyclone

 

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL, 7800 block of Anson Court, 11/17/13, 9:46 a.m. Animal Control Officer responded for a report of a dog running loose. The officer located and impounded the dog but no owner could be located. The dog was transported to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. The dog is described as an adult male Saint Bernard, brown and white, and wearing a red collar.

ANIMAL BITE, 11900 block of Market Street, 11/17/13, 12:30 p.m. A woman was walking when a dog bit her on the nose. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was described as a tan or white Bulldog and was being walked by a woman described as Asian.
