Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting, Mason Police District Station, 12/3/13, 7:30 p.m., which will feature a speaker from “Santa’s Ride”. ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 11/29/13. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Two drivers were charged with DWI. Thirty-eight summonses were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 11/30/13. Officers from the McLean Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Two drivers were charged with DWI. Forty-six summonses and fifteen warnings were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 11/30/13. Officers from the West Springfield Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Two drivers were charged with DWI. Ten warnings were issued. Also, two criminal charges were made

CHECKPOINT, Backlick Road/Fairfax County Parkway, 11/30/13. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Two hundred and seventy-four vehicles passed through. Two drivers were charged with DWI. Six summonses were issued and two criminal arrests were made.

 

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6500 block of Creek Run Drive, 11/30/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6300 block of South Kings Highway, 11/27/13, 7:51 p.m. Two men entered a convenience store and took beverages. The suspects assaulted an employee while they fled. There were no life-threatening injuries. The first suspect was described as black, 20-23, and about 5 feet 8 inches. The second suspect was described as Hispanic, 18-20, and about 5 feet 7 inches.

ASSAULT/WEAPON, 8200 block of Claremont Woods Drive, 11/29/13, 4:18 a.m. A 32-year-old man responded to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to the upper body and to the lower body. Police have determined that the incident occurred in the 8200 block of Claremont Woods Drive. While suspect information is unavailable at this time, police are investigating the possibility that the suspect and victim were known to each other.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 2900 block of Gallows Road, 11/29/13. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6200 block of Wilson Boulevard, 11/27/13, 9:40 a.m. A man entered a convenience store and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect demanded cash but the victim refused and the suspect fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 35-45, and about 5 feet 6 inches tall.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 1800 block of Wainwright Drive, 11/27/13. A resident was inside her home when a man outside caught her attention through a glass door. The man then exposed himself.  The suspect was described as white, 20’s and about 5 feet 10 inches tall.

ROBBERY, 11900 block of Freedom Drive, 11/28/13, 10:55 p.m. A 20-year-old man was walking on a path when five men approached him. One suspect assaulted the victim and another took property from the victim. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as black males and in their teens.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 7000 block of Old Keene Mille Road, 11/29/13, 2:03 p.m. The victim exited a bank after withdrawing cash when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect grabbed cash from the victim and then fled in a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was later recovered in Washington D.C. The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet tall with a medium build.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 8200 block of Gunston Corner Lane, 11/29/13, 11:50 a.m. The victim was walking when a man displayed a knife and demanded cash. The suspect and victim struggled and the suspect fled. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30-35, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 4300 block of Majestic Lane, 11/29/13, 6:19 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a domestic call. During the investigation the suspect attacked the officers and he was arrested. Joshua D. Hammond, 30, was charged with malicious wounding of a police officer, three counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and trespassing.
