Police Daily Blotter December 16, 2013

This report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame. Some incidents may appear a day or two after the occurrence.

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/13/13. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Five drivers were charged with DWI. Sixty-six summonses and sixteen warnings were issued. Also, three criminal charges were made.

BUSINESS COMPLIANCE, 12/13/13. Officers in the West Springfield Police District conducted business compliance checks at 22 businesses. No arrests were made for the illegal sale of alcohol.

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/14/13. Officers from the West Springfield Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI and eleven warnings were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/14/13. Officers from the Reston Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Twelve summonses and thirty-one warnings were issued. Also, two criminal charges were made.

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/14/13. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. Eighteen summonses and five criminal charges were made.

 

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6100 block of Clifton Road, 12/13/13, 9:50 p.m. The victim had just parked his vehicle when two men approached and demanded money. One of the men displayed a handgun and shot out one of the windows on the victim’s vehicle. Both men then took cash and property from the victim and then fled in a blue sedan. There were no injuries. The suspects were described as black males, 17-20, wearing black clothing and masks.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6200 block of North Kings Highway, 12/14/13, 7:10 p.m. Two men entered a drug store and took merchandise. An employee attempted to stop the suspects as they exited but the suspects assaulted the employee and fled. There were no injuries. The first suspect was described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 200 to 250 pounds and wearing a black jacket with gray shoulders and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as black, with a goatee, about 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 250 to 300 pounds and wearing large black jacket and light colored jeans.

ROBBERY, 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, 12/14/13, 8 p.m. Two victims were walking when they were approached by a man. The man displayed a handgun and took cash and property from the victims. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, with dreads, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing an orange sweatshirt.

BURGLARY, 5000 block of Helmsdale Lane, 12/15/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
