MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY

TRUCK INSPECTIONS, 4200 block of Markham Street, 12/17/13. Officers stopped and inspected 30 trucks. Four trucks were taken out of service. Thirty-four total violations were found.

None reported

 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 7100 block of Richmond Highway, 12/13/13, 9:43 p.m. A man and woman were walking when they were approached by two suspects. Both suspects displayed handguns and demanded cash from the man and woman. Both suspects then shot the man in the upper body. The woman fled and was not injured. The man was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The suspects were described as black males in their 20s.

6800 block of Melrose Drive, wheels from vehicle

STOLEN VEHICLES:

1100 block of Pine Hill Road, 1996 Acura Integra

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6500 block of Columbia Pike, gun from vehicle

8200 block of Guinevere Drive, jewelry from residence

5500 block of Leesburg Pike, property from business

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 2400 block of Masons Ferry Drive, 12/17/13, 3:50 a.m. A resident reported an unknown man broke into the residence and took property. The man left immediately when he saw someone in the home. The suspect was described as black, 20s, and about 6 feet tall.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6500 block of Frontier Drive, purse from business

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

5700 block of Burke Centre Parkway, merchandise from business

8200 block of Crestmont Circle, wallet from vehicle

7500 block of Huntsman Boulevard, wallet from business

7900 block of Revenna Lane, property from residence

6100 block of Rolling Road, briefcase from vehicle

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2500 block of James Madison Drive, electronic device from school
