Police Daily Blotter December 30, 2013

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/27/13. Officers from the Operations Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Six drivers were charged with DWI. Twenty-five summonses and four warnings were issued. Two criminal charges were made.

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/27/13. Officers from the West Springfield Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. One summons was issued and six criminal charges were made.

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/28/13. Officers from the Operations Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Nine summonses and six warnings were issued.

BURGLARY, 1500 block of Buena Vista Avenue, 12/27/13, 7:20 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2900 block of Dover Lane, 12/28/13, 11:28 a.m. An employee reported someone entered a vacant apartment and damaged property.

BURGLARY, 7400 block of Patterson Road, 12/29/13, 8:21 a.m. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 1300 block of Cold Harbor Court, 12/29/13, 3:44 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

11800 block of Baron Cameron Avenue, merchandise from business

2500 block of Centreville Road, beer from business

9200 block of Georgetown Pike, purse from vehicle

1400 block of North Point Village Center, liquor from business

11600 block of Stoneview Square, stereo from vehicle

 

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, Lewis Chapel Road/Timarand Drive, 12/28/13, 2:09 a.m. An 18-year-old woman was allegedly pushed to the ground by an acquaintance who took her cash. Officers and a K-9 unit located the suspect in a nearby wood line. Thomas J. Todd, 29, of Lorton, was charged with robbery.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 6000 block of Tigonderoga Court, 12/27/13, 8:30 a.m. Reportedly, a white male in his 20s and approximately 6 feet tall followed a 39-year-old woman and her children into her home. He attempted to sell poultry. The victim refused and the suspect left without further incident.

BURGLARY, 7400 block of Laurel Oak Court, 12/27/13, 11:54 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

ROBBERY, 4400 block of Medford Drive, 12/27/13, 8:48 p.m. A 23-year-old woman was out of her vehicle when she was grabbed by an unknown man. He took her purse and fled. The victim received minor injuries. The suspect was described as unknown race, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing all dark clothing to include a covering over his face.

BURGLARY, 4700 block of Commons Drive, 12/29/13, 6:43 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

4300 block of Harvester Farm Lane, license plate from vehicle

6100 block of Rolling Road, cell phone from residence

 

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

PEEPING, 4400 block of Oak Creek Court, 12/27/13, 12:55 a.m. A white male with brown hair, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds was seen looking into a bedroom window. He fled when the victim screamed.

SHOPLIFTING, 13900 block of Metrotech Drive, 12/29/13, 4:55 p.m. Officers were called for an alleged shoplifting case. The suspect ran from officers and was located nearby. Joseph Rainey, 19, of Chantilly, was charged with petit larceny.
