Police Daily Blotter December 31, 2013

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 12/30/13. Officers from the Operations Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Two drivers were charged with DWI. Fifteen summonses and twenty warnings were issued. One criminal charge was made.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2300 block of Popkins Lane, latptop computer from residence

8800 block of Richmond Highway, handgun from storage

7900 block of Silverada Place, cash from vehicle

 

 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2400 block of McClintic Court, jewelry from residence

1800 block of Pimmit Drive, cell phone from residence

1800 block of Stanley Place, tools and equipment from vehicle

2700 block of West Street, fire extinguisher from school

 

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, 12/30/13, 2 p.m. A 62-year-old woman was standing in front of a business when a man approached from behind. He slapped her, took her purse and fled. She was not seriously injured. The suspect was described as an unknown race, male, in his 20s. He was wearing all black clothing and a black covering over his face.

6500 block of Copa Court, gold from residence

6200 block of Leesburg Pike, catalytic converter from vehicle

 

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

PEEPING, 2500 block of John Epps Road, 12/30/13, 11:06 p.m. A man was seen looking into a bedroom window. No one was injured. The helicopter, a K-9 team and several officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6700 block of Hackberry Street, 12/30/13, 10:37 p.m. A 58-year-old man was walking home when a man approached, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The victim gave up the cash and the suspect fled. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as black, 18 to 20 years old. He was wearing all black clothing and a ski mask over his face.

8600 block of Beech Hollow Lane, cash from vehicle

8400 block of Old Keene Mill Road, cell phone from business

 

 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

12500 block of Fair Lakes Circle, electronic tablet from business

13300 block of Franklin Farm Road, liquor from business

3200 block of Jermantown Road, purse from vehicle
