STOLEN VEHICLES:

8700 block of Cherry Drive, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban

3000 block of Fairhill Road, Toyota Yaris

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 5800 block of Leesburg Pike, 4/3/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

LARCENIES:

6600 block of Little River Turnpike, property from business

3400 block of South Jefferson Street, money from business

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

None reported

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT, 6200 block of Bardu Avenue, 4/4/14, 12:23 a.m. On Interstate 495, a police officer observed a Nissan Pathfinder stopped and facing the wrong way. The officer stopped to provide assistance but the driver of the Pathfinder fled at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicle onto Old Keene Mill Road and then to Bardu Avenue, where it crashed. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by other responding police officers.  Matthew T. Heislup, 28, of Alexandria, was charged with DWI, speeding to elude police, reckless driving and refusing to submit to breath test.
