ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next meeting of the Citizens' Advisory Committee for the West Springfield District Station will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.  Presenting this evening, will be Detective Bill Woolf from the Fairfax County Police Department Human Trafficking Unit.

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 5/3/14. Officers from the Mason Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Twenty-two summonses and thirty-seven warnings were issued.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

PEEPING, 2900 block of Furman Lane, 5/2/14, 3:45 p.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man looking into the room. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 9 to 6 feet inches tall with a heavy build.

BURGLARY, 7900 block of Central Park Circle, 5/4/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

7400 block of Fordson Road, property from residence

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 7000 block of Little River Turnpike, 5/4/14, 5:50 p.m. The victim was sitting in a parked vehicle when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect then got into a white van and drove away. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 30-35, and about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall.

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL BITE, 6600 Thurlton Drive, 5/2/14, 10:30 a.m. A man was walking when a dog bit him on the hand. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was described as a medium to large Labrador and was being walked by a white woman in her 60’s.
