West Springfield District Station Weekly Information Bulletin

There will be a child safety seat check at the Sully Police District Station on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 5 – 8:30 p.m. This free service is on a first come, first serve basis as only the first thirty five vehicles will be inspected so we can ensure proper training.

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 5/16/14. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. Fifty-eight summonses were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 5/17/14. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Four drivers were charged with DWI. Sixteen summonses were issued.

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Centreville Crest Lane, 5/16/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 2400 block of Southgate Square, 5/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 6300 Springfield Plaza, 5/15/14. An employee of the Verizon Wireless store was robbed by a suspect after the store closed, taking numerous cell phones. The victim did not require medical treatment. The suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with black hair.

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL BITE, 7800 block of Bristow Drive, 5/16/14, 3:52 p.m. A man was walking on the sidewalk when a beagle bit him on the lower body. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was routinely quarantined.
