To celebrate the completion of a major expansion of the facility, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of the “Thor” Canine Memorial at the Fair Oaks District Station on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will occur at the front entrance of the building.

BURGLARY, 4200 block of Field Street, 6/9/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
SHOOTING, 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive, 6/9/14, 7:55 p.m. Officers responded for a shooting and found two victims, ages 14 and 16, and both were transported to local hospitals. The 14-year-old boy is in stable condition. The 16-year-old, Kevin Johnson, of 4435 Pembrook Village Drive, died at the hospital. Allegedly, there were several people in the home all known to each other. An 18-year-old discharged a weapon which struck the victims. The weapon has been recovered, and detectives do not believe there is any public safety threat. The investigation is on-going.

BURGLARY, 5500 block of Kendrick Lane, 6/9/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
