ANNOUNCEMENTS

Police have launched a new crime mapping tool. It is designed to help users better understand where police are responding, and offers users a general description of the incident. Simply log on to Police Events Mapping Tool, type the address of the location, and all police-related events within a specific radius will populate the screen. Information is, typically, a day behind real-time events.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

3500 block of South Jefferson Street, license plates from vehicle

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 2500 block of John Eppes Road, 6/14/14, 9:25 p.m. The victim had delivered some food and was sitting in his car when the first suspect approached him. The first suspect implied he had a gun and demanded money. The victim resisted and two more suspects approached and assaulted the victim. The victim continued resisting and all three suspects fled on foot. The victim did not require rescue. The first suspect was described as a black male, 24-27, about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with bald head. The second suspect was described as a black male, 20-24, about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall with black hair. The third suspect was described as a black male.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 10200 block of Richmond Highway, 6/16/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

5500 block of Vincent Gate Terrace, jewelry from residence

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7300 block of Boudinot Drive, cell phone from vehicle

9400 block of Oakington Drive, jewelry from residence

4100 block of Picket Road, cell phone from school

STOLEN VEHICLES:

4500 block of John Tyler Court, 2002 Dodge RAM
