Police Daily Blotter June 30, 2014

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

DIRECTED PATROL, 6/28/14. Officers from the Reston Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Two summonses and nineteen warnings were issued.

 

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT ON POLICE/DWI, 5900 block of Fort Drive, 6/28/14, 12:48 a.m. A police officer performed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated. The driver resisted arrest and assaulted the arresting officers, who then employed the conductive electrical device to gain compliance. Lindsay Halsey, 21, of Chantilly was charged with assault on police, DWI and possessing an open container of alcohol.

BURGLARY, 14000 block of Pittman Court, 6/29/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 3800 block of Joshua Place, 00/00/14, 6:38 p.m. The victim was walking when she was approached from behind by a man. The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and took her purse. The victim did not require rescue. The suspect was described as black, 20s, and about 5 feet 11 inches tall.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 8500 block of Tyspring Street, 6/27/14, 1 a.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man exposing himself.  The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as black, 25-35 and about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BANK ROBBERY, 5851 Crossroads Center, 6/27/14, 4:52 p.m. A man entered the Capital One bank and handed a note to a bank teller demanding money. The bank teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20-39, tall, with a goatee and wearing a black hat.

ROBBERY, 3000 block of Annandale Road, 6/29/14, 11:45 p.m. The victim was walking when four suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as two white males and two black males in their 30s.

3000 block of Patrick Henry Drive, laptop computer from residence

5500 block of Seminary Road, 1996 Honda Civic

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 13300 block of Parcher Avenue, 6/27/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 1700 Whisperhill Drive, 6/27/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 12200 block of Quorn Lane, 6/30/14, 4:43 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property. A similar suspect was then reported to have entered a residence in the 2200 block of Emerald Heights Court but left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Nothing was taken. A similar suspect was then reported to have attempted to take a bicycle from a residence in the 12200 block of Turkey Wing Court. The suspect dropped the bicycle when confronted by a resident and he fled on foot. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 18-24, about 5 feet to 5 feet 3 inches tall.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 5900 block of Earlston Court, 6/28/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

6900 block of Bradlick Shopping Center, wallet from business

7600 block of Highland Woods Court, drivers license and credit cards from vehicle

5800 block of Kingstowne Boulevard, merchandise from business

6400 block of Landsdowne Center, money from business

4300 block of Ravensworth Road, money from business

6600 block of Springfield Mall, merchandise from business

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 4000 block of Goss Road, 6/29/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
