Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

DISORDERLY, 7200 block of Richmond Highway, 4/3/13, 2:25 a.m. Officers responded to the business for an individual allegedly becoming disorderly. When officers placed him under arrest he allegedly struck an officer. Korey Proctor, 18, of Alexandria, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

1800 block of Old Meadow Road, purse from business

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 3400 block of Carlin Springs Road, 4/3/13, 1:55 p.m. A 70-year-old reported he was entering his building when two unknown individuals pushed him. They stole his wallet and fled. He was not injured.

ASSAULT, Little River Turnpike/Southland Avenue, 4/3/13, 11 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver allegedly became belligerent with the officer. Markeice Pearson, 35, of Alexandria, was charged with assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and driving with revoked license.

11000 block of Baron Cameron Avenue, security camera covers from business

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6600 block of Springfield Mall, shirts from business

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7700 block of Bristol Square Court, generator from vehicle

8200 block of Alban Road, cell phones/IPADS from business

9500 block of 5th Place, PS3/Wii/docking station from residence

4900 block of Casimir Street, license plates from vehicle

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 13500 block of Mansarde Avenue, 4/3/13, 1:25 a.m. A 35-year-old reported someone knocked at his door. When he opened it, three unknown men entered the home. They assaulted him and stole several items from the home to include electronics. The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

BURGLARY, 3000 block of Centreville Road, 4/3/13, 8 a.m. An employee reported someone entered the business but nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through the front door.
