Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ABDUCTION, 5500 block of Seminary Road, 4/10/13, 3:25 a.m. A 29-year-old reported she approached a man she recognized in a laundry room. The man allegedly prevented her from leaving the laundry room. She was able to flee without injury. Twenty-four hours later, officers were in the area for an unrelated reason and located the suspect. Mohammad Almarri, 32, of Falls Church, was charged with assault and abduction.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, 1300 block of Cassia Street, 4/10/13, 6 p.m. Officers were called for a disorderly subject. Ralph Brasington, 20, of Herndon, was detained and allegedly became aggressive. He was charged with assault on police officer, destruction of property, and resisting arrest.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, Timarand Court/Timarand Drive, 4/10/13, 10:45 a.m. A 31-year-old was walking on the sidewalk when she was assaulted. An unknown man approached from behind and touched her inappropriately. He fled and was not located by officers. She was not injured. This is NOT related to Springfield Area Assaults.

6500 block of Springfield Mall, trading cards from business

6000 block of Telegraph Road, rings from vehicle

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6100 block of Willowick Lane, 4/10/13, 9:45 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4600 block of John Hancock Court, 4/10/13, 3 p.m. An employee reported someone entered a vacant apartment. There was damage to the walls and carpets throughout the apartment.

6100 block of Rolling Road, golf clubs from vehicle

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

4400 block of Holly Avenue, UPS package from residence

13000 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, liquor from business

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL BITE, 6300 block of Rockbridge Place, 4/10/13, 12:30 p.m. A pest control employee reported he was bitten by a stray dog. The 23-year-old was treated for his minor injuries and began post-rabies treatment as a precaution. Please be on the lookout for a skinny black dog possibly resembling a Labrador Retriever.

ANIMAL BITE, 11600 block of Vantage Hill Road, 4/10/13, 1:20 p.m. A 30-year-old was walking his dog when they were allegedly attacked by a Pitbull Terrier. The victim and the victim Labradoodle received minor injuries. The Pitbull was routinely quarantined. The Pitbull owner, Edith Mobley, 54, of Reston, was charged with no dog license.
