Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

NARCOTICS/PURSUIT, Lee Highway/Pickwick Road, 4/11/13, 2:50 p.m. Officers initiated a stop on a suspected prescription fraud subject. The vehicle initially sped away from officers near the Costco and eventually stopped. Theresa Pompey, 26, of Maryland, and Ronnie Davis, 34, of Maryland, were each charged with possession of ocycontin and obtaining drug by misrepresentation. Davis was also charged with eluding police.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6800 block of Smithway Drive, 4/11/13, 3 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. Forced entry was made through a window.

GRAFFITI, 4000 block of Fielding Street, 4/11/13, 6:10 p.m. An employee reported drawings on an access ramp. The owner has been notified to remove the graffiti.

NARCOTICS, 8000 block of Richmond Highway, 4/11/13, 2 p.m. Officers approached and detained a wanted person. He allegedly resisted the officers’ attempt to take him into custody. One officer received minor injuries during the struggle. Martez Redfearn, 20, of Alexandria, was charged for obstruction of justice and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

4000 block of Fielding Street, license plate/license plate holder from vehicle

8100 block of Holland Road, tablet from business

2300 block of Huntington Avenue, beer from business

8000 block of Steadman Street, cell phone from business

8400 block of Stockade Drive, wallet from vehicle

STOLEN VEHICLES:

6000 block of Bangor Drive, 1993 Chevrolet Corvette

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2800 block of Great Oak Court, 4/11/13, 7:45 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through an unsecured door.

TRESPASSING, 1600 block of Davidson Road, 4/11/13, 11:30 p.m. Officers responded for an alarm and found an open door. Upon searching the building, two people were found inside. Bo Kim, 18, of McLean, and Sung Kim, 18, of McLean, were each charged with trespassing. There was no damage to the building.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

1700 block of Gosnell Road, Yamaha RS Motorcycle

MASON DISTRICT STATION

None reported

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, 2200 block of Southgate Square, 4/11/13, 1 a.m. A 26-year-old reported he was allegedly stabbed by someone known to him. The suspect fled. Many officers, the helicopter, and a K-9 team searched for the suspect but did not locate him. The victim was treated at the hospital non life-threatening injuries. Later in the afternoon, detectives located and arrested Magdaleno Aguilar Orantes, 18, of Reston. He was charged with malicious wounding and gang participation.

LARCENIES:

6900 block of Bradlick Shopping Center, liquor from business

7600 block of Fallswood Way, bicycles from residence

6500 block of Frontier Drive, gift cards from business

10500 block of Furnace Road, navigation device from business

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

4600 block of Braeburn Drive, checkbooks from residence

4700 block of Medford Drive, cell phone from business

9600 block of Oakington Drive, eye glass case/ring from vehicle

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

3900 block of Fair Ridge Drive, key from business
