Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2300 block of Huntington Avenue, bag of chips from business

2500 block of Parkers Lane, cell phone from vehicle

7500 block of Republic Court, military gear from residence

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, 8500 block of Spartan Road, 4/18/13, 11 p.m. A 20-year-old was attending a party. She was approached by another young woman who engaged her in an argument. The other woman allegedly struck the victim. The victim was treated for minor injuries. Haley Stover, 19, of Quicksburg, VA, was charged with malicious wounding and illegal possession of alcohol.

8200 block of Greensboro Drive, wallet from business

8000 block of Tysons Corner Center, pair of pants from business

1900 block of Tysons Landing Court, passport and social security from residence

STOLEN VEHICLES:

6200 block of Nethercombe Court, GMC Yukon

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6100 block of Arlington Boulevard, 4/18/13, 4:45 a.m. Officers responded for commercial burglary alarm. They found the front door shattered. An employee confirmed that several items were stolen to include a watch. The helicopter and a K-9 team assisted in searching for suspects but none were found.

ROBBERY, 5700 block of Seminary Road, 4/18/13, 8:30 p.m. A 13-year-old reported he was approached by two individuals. One suspect grabbed him and stole his cell phone. Both suspects fled. The victim was not injured.

6000 block of Leesburg Pike, cases of beer from business

3800 block of South George Mason Drive, purse from vehicle

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

12000 block of Bowman Towne Drive, generator from business

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive, 4/18/13, 4:30 a.m. Officers responded for an alarm. Forced entry was made through a wall into a couple of businesses. It appears nothing was stolen.

BURGLARY, 7500 block of Jervis Street, 4/18/13, 3 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. Forced entry was made through a rear door.

BURGLARY, 5200 block of Garner Street, 4/18/13, 6 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include a laptop computer. Forced entry was made through a rear door.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7900 block of Charles Thomson Lane, tires and rims from vehicle

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

12300 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, license plate from vehicle

13800 block of Metrotech Drive, cell phone from business

11700 block of Valley Road, wallet and cash from residence
