Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

INDECENT EXPOXSURE, 14300 block of Summer Tree Road, 4/24/13, 1:15 a.m. A 46-year-old woke up and saw a man exposing himself outside her window. The man departed prior to officers arriving.

ASSAULT, 4100 block of Meadowland Court, 4/24/13, 2:10 p.m. Officers were called for a shoplifting with assault at a business in 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road. The suspect fled. Officers located the suspect who allegedly resisted officers when they attempted to detain him. Maher Hana, 37, of Chantilly, was charged with assault, larceny, and assault on a police officer. The first victim was not injured. The officer received minor injuries.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6700 block of Kenyon Drive, 4/24/13, 12:45 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. Entry was made through an unlocked window.

LARCENIES:

3400 block of Beechcraft Drive, generator, nail gun and saw from vehicle

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT/NARCOTICS, 7100 block of Roosevelt Avenue, 4/22/13, 3:15 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Graham Road. The vehicle fled and eventually stopped for the officer. Following an investigation, the passenger was released. The driver, Hassan Alraddadi, 19, of Fairfax, was charged with reckless driving, speed to elude, possession of marijuana, and DWI.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Argyle Drive, 4/22/13, 1:40 a.m. A resident reported he opened the door to his home and a stranger walked out. Several people were in the home asleep. The stranger fled without stealing anything. There were no signs of forced entry. Officers searched the area, located, and charged Ceferino Gonzalez, 28, of Falls Church, with burglary.

BURGLARY, 3300 block of Woodburn Road, 4/24/13, 6:35 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. Forced entry was made through a rear door.

6100 block of Arlington Boulevard, cell phone from business

5800 block of Crossroads Center, passport from vehicle

3300 block of Gallows Road, cell phone from hospital

6100 block of Knollwood Drive, bicycle from library

7300 block of Valleycrest Boulevard, tires from vehicle

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

FIGHT/ROBBERY, 11900 block of Winterthur Lane, 4/24/13, 10:40 p.m. Officers were called for a fight involving several men. Four victims were found with non life-threatening injuries. One was transported the other three were treated at the scene. The men were approached by two men who asked for money. The confrontation became physical and several other individuals joined in the fight. All suspects fled. The case is under investigation.

ASSAULT, Green Range Drive/Pyrenees Court, 4/24/13, 11:15 p.m. A 21-year-old reported he was walking in the area with a friend when two unknown persons attacked him. The friend ran to get help. The victim received non life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect description.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, 7700 block of Gunston Plaza, 4/24/13, 2:15 p.m. A 43-year-old was servicing an ATM when a man approached to use the machine. The victim told the suspect the machine would be ready soon. The suspect pushed the victim out of the way. The victim was not injured.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

10400 block of Premier Court, purse from vehicle

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 12200 block of Waples Mill Road, 4/24/13, 11:40 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through a side door.
