Daily Activity Report

This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

Domestic violence-related charges: 3

Illegal drug-related charges: 27

DWI-related charges: 49

DIRECTED PATROL, 4/26/13. Officers from the Mount Vernon Police District patrolled the area searching for drunk drivers. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Twenty-five summonses and 29 warnings were issued. Also, three criminal arrests were made.


BURGLARY, 13300 block of Balmoral Greens Avenue, 4/28/13, 6 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the open attached garage and attempted to steal an ATV and lawn mower. The suspects fled without taking anything.

ROBBERY, 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, 4/27/13, 7:25 p.m. A 32-year-old reported he was walking and counting his money. An unknown man snatched the cash and fled. Several officers to include a K-9 searched the area, but no suspect was located.

ASSAULT, 6600 block of Richmond Highway, 4/26/13, 9:05 a.m. A 24-year-old reported a man she did not know asked her for directions. He allegedly fondled her buttocks as he walked away. Jonatan Pajuelo, 32, of Alexandria, was charged with assault.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 4000 block of Buckman Road, 4/26/13, 3:30 p.m. A 23-year-old reported she was with her six-year-old daughter when they both saw a man exposing himself. Clayton Voziak, 56, of Alexandria, was charged with indecent exposure and simulated masturbation.

ROBBERY, 3500 block of Robert E. Lee Place, 4/26/13, 8:45 p.m. Officers responded for a fight. They located a 19-year-old victim who reported several individuals attempted to rob him. Officers searched the area and located the alleged suspects. Anthony Laporta, 18, and two 16-year-old boys, all of Alexandria, were charged with robbery, assault by mob, and gang participation.

BURGLARY, 6200 block of Old Dominion Drive, 4/28/13, 4:40 a.m. Officers responded for an alarm and found on open rear door. An employee confirmed many items were stolen to include televisions.

BURGLARY, 3300 block of Ardley Court, 4/26/13, 7:05 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

BURGLARY, 1100 block of South Harrison Street, 4/26/13, 12:20 p.m. Two residents reported someone entered each of their homes and stole jewelry. Forced entry was made through a rear window.

NARCOTICS, 1600 block of Washington Plaza, 4/27/13, 10:50 p.m. An officer approached a vehicle in the parking lot. He identified all the passengers. Following an investigation, several charges were made. Tram Hoang, 18, of Vienna, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule II narcotic. Jessica Shin, 18, of McLean, and Kiana Ragland, 18, of Falls Church, were each charged with possession of marijuana.

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive, 4/28.13, 4:20 a.m. Offices responded for audible burglary alarm. The first officer saw an individual allegedly crawling between two businesses. Pedro Santiago, 37, of Springfield, was charged with wearing a mask, two counts of burglary, and two counts of larceny.

6000 block of Stoddard Court, registration and insurance information from vehicle

9100 block of Stonegarden Drive, two pairs of shoes from residence


INDECENT EXPOSURE, Donnybrook Court/Heritage Drive, 4/26/13, 3 p.m. Two women, 22 and 28 years old, reported they were walking on the sidewalk. They saw a man in a vehicle exposing himself. The suspect was not located.

BURGLARY, 9500 block of Braddock Road, 4/28/13, 3:35 a.m. A newspaper delivery man reported the front door a business was shattered. An employee confirmed at minimum some cigars were stolen.

ANIMAL BITE, 3800 block of Havenwood Place, 4/26/13, 9:05 a.m. A 56-year-old reported he was bitten by a dog which got away from her owner. The two-year-old Pit Bull Terrier was routinely quarantined. The victim was not seriously injured.
