Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

4900 block of Stonecroft Boulevard, money from business

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

SUSPICIOUS NOISE, 7300 block of Telegraph Road, 5/6/13, 8 a.m. Officer responded for the sound of gun shots. Many officers to include the helicopter and K-9 teams extensively searched the area. No evidence of shots being fire was found. No one was injured.

LARCENIES:

7900 block of Audubon Avenue, headphones from business

8400 block of Frye Road, duct tape from business

7300 block of Richmond Highway, purse from vehicle

STOLEN VEHICLES:

8500 block of Richmond Highway, Chevy Silverado

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

8100 block of Strawberry Lane, bag from business

7900 block of Tysons Corner, laptop from vehicle

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 8200 block of Willow Oaks Corporate Drive, 5/6/13, 9:30 p.m. Two women, 32 and 28 years old, reported two unknown men entered their room and stole cash. The victims were not injured. The case is under investigation.

3300 block of Gallows Road, credit cards and cash from hospital

6300 block of Seven Corners Center, food from business

4300 block of Wakefield Drive, jewelry from residence

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

900 block of Locust Street, cell phone from school

12500 block of Ridgegate Drive, front license plate from vehicle

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

3100 block of Dashiell Road, bicycle from residence

6600 block of Frontier Drive, cell phones from business

5500 block of Peppercorn Drive, medications from residence

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

Burke/Guinea Road, two saws from vehicle

STOLEN VEHICLES:

8100 block of McCauley Way, Ford van

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 4200 block of Lauries Way, 5/6/13, 3:20 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a laptop computer. There were no signs of forced entry.

LARCENIES:

11200 block of James Swart Circle, credit cards from business

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

None reported
