Daily Activity Report

This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

BURGLARY, 5600 block of Thorndyke Court, 5/10/13, 4:55 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include a wallet. There were no signs of forced entry.

ASSAULT, Centreville Road/Machen Road, 5/11/13, 4:15 a.m. An officer found an individual who appeared intoxicated and injured. Rescue personnel responded to examine and transport him. He allegedly became combative assaulting the recue officer. Oscar Romer, 18, Chantilly, was charged with being drunk in public and assault.

PURSUIT/ARREST, 4400 block of Blyth Place, 5/10/13, 10 a.m. Officers attempted to stop a wanted person. Donnie White, 25, of Alexandria, fled from officers. A vehicle pursuit was initiated. White stopped his vehicle in an area school parking lot and fled on foot. No children were involved. White was caught, the outstanding warrants were served, and was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license, speed to elude, and DWI.

ROBBERY, 7800 block of Richmond Highway, 5/10/13, 9:25 p.m. Two victims, 18 and 19 years old, reported a man approached, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. He fled with cash. No one was injured. The suspect was described as a black male, 18 to 23 years old. He was wearing a black jacket and black shorts.

ROBBERY, 3000 block of Fordson Court, 5/12/13, 3:15 p.m. Officers were called for a shot person. An investigation led to the arrest of Germarta Whitaker, 25, of Alexandria. Whitaker was charged with robbery, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm. The victim and suspect know each other.

BURGLARY, 7600 block of Maydan Lane, 5/10/13, 2:15. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. Forced entry was made through a window.

BURGLARY, 7200 block of Tod Street, 5/10/13, 3:10 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. Forced entry was made through a window.

BURGLARY, 7700 block of Virginia Lane, 5/10/13, 6:20 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a laptop computer. Forced entry was made through a window.

BURGLARY, 9000 block of Arlington Boulevard, 5/10/13, 8:35 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. Entry was made through an unsecured door.

ASSAULT, 7800 block of Tysons Corner Center, 5/11/13, 2:05 a.m. An areguement began between Didio Pequeno, 28, of New York, and a 36-year-old employee. Pequeno was charged with two counts of assault.

WARRANT, 2200 block of Gallows Road, 5/11/13, 9:35 p.m. Officers were called by an uninvolved person for a fight. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Officers investigated the two remaining individuals and learned that John Green, 42, of no fixed, was wanted for a probation violation. He was taken into custody.

ROBBERY, Evans Court/Leesburg Pike, 5/12/13, 3:45 p.m. A 35-year-old reported she was pushed from behind by a stranger. The man then fled with her purse. She was not injured.

BURGLARY, 6400 block of 2nd Street, 5/10/13, 11:30 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole an industrial sprayer. Forced entry was made through a window.

Police Cruiser Struck in Annandale Area

PURSUIT/DWI, Fairfview Park/I495, 5/12/13, 2:35 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle continued with stopping and eventually stopped near I66. Seol Yoon, 30, of McLean, was charged with DWI, speed to elude, and fail to yield for a stopped emergency vehicle.
