Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

LARCENIES:

13500 block of Braddock Road, purse and electronic device from residence

6200 block of Riverland Run, cell phone from residence

STOLEN VEHICLES:

5500 block of Pickwick Road, ATV

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

8400 block of Fort Hunt Road, cell phone from school

6800 block of Richmond Highway, meat and seafood from business

7300 block of Richmond Highway, cartons of cigarettes from business

STOLEN VEHICLES:

8500 block of Fuerte Court, 1999 Honda Accord

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

CRASH, Arlington Boulevard/Graham Road, 5/13/13, 8:20 a.m. A pick-up truck going east on Arlington Boulevard struck a pole on the right side of the road. It continued across to the west bound lanes. Five vehicles were struck by the truck. Ten patients were transported to two hospitals. No injuries were life-threatening. David Francis, 30, of South Riding, was charged with fail to pay full time and attention.

LARCENIES:

12500 block of Summer Place, electronic device from residence

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 3900 block of Colis Oak Court, 5/13/13, 2:05 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a television. Entry was made through a window.

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

ANIMAL BITE, 4000 block of Laurel Road, 5/13/13, 8:25 a.m. A 72-year-old was in her yard. Two dogs came into the yard, and one of them bit her. She received minor injuries. Suzanne Scherrer, 53, was charged with no dog license. Both dogs, a mixed Poodle and mixed Chihuahua, were routinely quarantined because it was not clear which did the biting.

ANIMAL BITE, 11900 block of Baron Cameron Avenue, 5/13/13, 8:20 p.m. A 15-year-old reported he was playing soccer when an unknown white dog bit him on the leg. The dog left the area. The boy was not seriously injured.
