Daily Activity Report


This report is published every weekday, except county holidays. The information in each report covers significant criminal incidents from the day before; reports published on Monday cover the preceding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The time frame is the actual 24-hour period for each day.

The report contains selected crimes, including animal-related incidents and property crimes. The information is organized by district station. If a section has no reported incident, that section will not be shown. Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Note: Information contained in the Daily Activity Report is generally based on initial reports made to the police department. Follow-up investigations may reveal additional information. Also, this report is not a comprehensive list of every police event in Fairfax County in the stated time frame.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT, 6200 block of Richmond Highway, 5/21/13, 1:50 a.m. An employee was separating several patrons which were arguing. The employee was allegedly assaulted and the suspect fled. Officers located the suspects. Carlos Vasquez, 18, of Springfield, was charged with assault. Ginno Zambrano, 21, of Burke, was charged with assault and DWI.

7800 block of Richmond Highway, four sandwiches from business

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

WARRANT SERVICE, 8100 block of Madrillon Court, 5/21/13, 9 p.m. Officers responded to serve an outstanding warrant. The subject, Jonathan Safavi, 20, of Vienna, complied with officers he was taken into custody for violation of a protective order. Two others in the home became allegedly became disorderly and interfered with the officers. Nazila Safavi, 47, of Vienna, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Sherae Frazier, 22, of Vienna, was charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

LARCENIES:

LARCENIES:

12000 block of Bowman Towne Drive, wallet from business

1100 block of Riva Ridge Drive, cash from residence

12500 block of Sunrise Valley Drive, air bag from vehicle

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

PEEPING, 6700 block of Frontier Drive, 5/21/13, 9 p.m. A 34-year-old woman reported a man was looking over the stall while she was in a changing room. The man fled.

9000 block of Silverbrook Road, cash from business

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

None reported

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

CRUELTY TO ANIMAL, 4500 block of West Ox Road, 5/21/13, 4 p.m. A dog, an American Eskimo, was being turned over to the shelter. The dog allegedly appeared under-weight with other signs of maltreatment. The owner, Leonela Cruz, 45, of Fairfax Station, was charged with cruelty to animal. Charges are pending for the dog’s co-owner.
