ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

CHECKPOINT, Arlington Boulevard/Annandale Road, 9/7/13. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Six-hundred-forty-five vehicles passed through. One driver was charged with DWI. Eleven summonses were issued.

Woman Abducted, Police Seek Assistance

BURGLARY, 7200 block of Gordons Road, 9/8/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and rummaged through the belongings. Nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through a door.

GRAFFITI, 1600 block of Chain Bridge Road, 9/9/13. Spray-painted words were found on a fence. The owner will remove the graffiti.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY/LARCENY, 3800 block of South George Mason Drive, 9/5/13. A 54-year-old woman was entering a business when a young man allegedly attempted to steal her purse. She was able hold onto the bag and was not injured. The suspect then allegedly attempted rob a 44-year-old man in the business. The victim received minor injuries. An investigation revealed that the same suspect allegedly stole merchandise from the business. Dejhon Jackson, 19, of Arlington, was charged with larceny and two counts of robbery.

BURGLARY, 4100 block of Wadsworth Court, 9/9/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cell phones. Entry was made through an unsecured door. Following an investigation, Mauro Majia Chacach, 21, of Annandale, was charged with burglary.

BURGLARY, 2400 block of Dakota Lakes Drive, 9/6/13. A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through a rear window.

BURGLARY, 12700 block of Bradwell Road, 9/8/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include an iPad. Forced entry was made through a door.

PEEPING, 1500 block of Northgate Square, 9/8/13. A 19-year-old girl saw a man looking into her window. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

ROBBERY, 1600 block of Washington Plaza, 9/10/13. An unknown man entered a business brandishing a handgun. The suspect grabbed a laptop computer and fled. The 30-year-old male victim was not injured.

BURGLARY, 2100 block of Green Watch Way, 9/11/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include an electronic tablet. There were no signs of forced entry.

ASSAULT, 7700 block of Armistead Road, 9/10/13.Two women were jogging when an unknown man approached from behind. He inappropriately touched a 39-year-old woman and ran away. The victim was not injured.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 5900 block of Kingsford Road, 9/5/13. A resident reported that someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through the front door.

ROBBERY, 4300 block of Carmelo Drive, 9/6/13. A 50-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk when a man surprised her from behind. He demanded money and fled with cash. The victim was not injured. The suspect was later identified as an acquaintance of other family members. Charges are pending.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 11100, block of Tattersall Trail, 9/5/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a cell phone. Forced entry was made through a window.

ROBBERY, 2900 block of Waterford Court, 9/8/13. A 41-year-old woman was walking home. Two young men, possibly in their 20s, approached from behind. The grabbed her purse. She struggled, but they fled with bag. She received minor injuries.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3900 block of Corsair Court, 9/8/13. A 17-year-old girl was in the pool area when an unknown man entered. He exposed himself and she left the area. The suspect was not located.

ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION

RABIES, 10100 block of Squires Trail, 9/9/13. An Australian Cattle dog killed a raccoon. The raccoon was tested and returned positive for rabies. The dog was routinely quarantined and will receive a booster vaccination.
