ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

CHECKPOINT, Little River Turnpike/Medford Drive, 09/13/13. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Six-hundred-thirty-four vehicles passed through. Three drivers were charged with DWI, one driver was charged with DUID. Eleven summonses were issued.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY ATTEMPT, 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, 9/15/13. A resident was walking in the area when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects displayed a gun and struck the victim. The victim fled, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black, 20 to 30 and wearing all black clothing.

ROBBERY, 5800 block of Monticello Road, 9/17/13, 9:30 p.m. A 18-year-old woman was walking in the area when a man grabbed her purse from behind. The suspects were described as two men, one wearing a red hoodie and the other wearing a black hoodie.

ROBBERY, 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 9/17/13, 11:30 p.m. A 27-year-old man was walking in the area when three to four men approached him. One suspect assaulted the victim and while the victim attempted to flee, he was shot in the lower body. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as black, wearing all black clothing.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 5900 Leesburg Pike, 9/13/13. Two men were involved in a traffic collision after which one of the men assaulted the other and took an electronic device from the victim. The suspect is described as Hispanic, 20s and possibly driving a four-door Chevrolet sedan.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 7822 Rectory Lane, 9/14/13, 1:30 a.m. A 22-year-old man was exiting a convenience store when he was assaulted by up to seven men. During the assault, cash and personal property was taken from the victim, who sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as Hispanic.

BURGLARY, 9000 block of Martha Jefferson Court, 9/16/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and took electronic equipment and personal property. Forced entry was made through a window.

ROBBERY, 4500 block of John Tyler Court, 9/16/13, 11:30 p.m. A 20-year-old man was walking when he was assaulted by eight to ten men. During the assault, cash and personal property was taken from the victim, who sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as Hispanic.

BURGLARY, 7900 block of Saint George Court, 9/17/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and took electronic equipment. Forced entry was made through a window.

ROBBERY, 4000 block of Majestic Lane, 9/17/13, 10:30 p.m. A 18-year-old man was walking when he was assaulted by two men. During the assault, cash and personal property was taken from the victim. One suspect was described as Hispanic, 19-20 with brown hair and the other was described as black, 19-20, with shoulder-length dread-locks.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 4601 Stringfellow Road, 9/12/13. A 46-year-old woman was walking in a park, where she encountered a man exposing himself. The victim fled and called the police. The suspect was described as black, 30s to 40s, about 6 feet tall.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 13059 Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 9/15/13, 3 a.m. A 40-year-old woman was walking to her car in a parking lot. A man was inside a vehicle nearby; he opened a door and exposed himself. The victim drove away and called police. The suspect is described as Hispanic, 30s to 40s, and possibly driving a gray four-door sedan.
