Application Process

This selection process ensures that only highly qualified candidates are selected. The following components of the police officer selection process must be completed and passed by every applicant.
Fill Out an Application Form Written Examination Initial Interview Polygraph Medical Exam Physical Ability Test Background Interview Background Investigation Psychological Evaluation	2 1/2 hours 1/2 hour 3 hours 4 hours 2 hours 4 hours 8-12 weeks 8 hours
The entire selection process will require an estimated four to six months to complete. Accommodations can be arranged by calling the Director of Testing and Recruiting at 703-246-7563.
