Animal Shelter Announces New Hours
Change in Operations Begins April 12

 

            The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host new hours beginning Saturday, April 12, 2008. The new shelter hours will be:

                         Tuesday – Friday12 – 7 p.m.

                         Saturday                           10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

            The change in hours reflects an analysis of the number of visitors to the shelter during the hours it is currently open to the public:

 

                       Tuesday - Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

                        Saturday - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

            This change is also in response to requests from citizens who said they would benefit from the shelter being open later on weekday evenings.

            The shelter will provide all services during the hours it is open to the public, including facilitating animal adoptions and visitations, returning animals to their guardians, accepting surrenders and strays and allowing residents to obtain dog licenses.
