Woman Charged with Possessing Methamphetamine
Police arrested a 32-year-old Sterling woman after she attempted to purchase methamphetamine. On Thursday, May 8 around 11:30 p.m., officers observed the woman inside a vehicle parked near Bostwick Drive and Montgomery Street in the Annandale area. An investigation revealed the woman was allegedly attempting to purchase methamphetamine. Additional methamphetamine was also in her possession.
Officers arrested Rachel Smith of 47170 Brasswood Place in Sterling. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Smith is employed by Fairfax County Public Schools.
