Armed Robbery in Falls Church

            A 38-year-old, Vienna woman, working as a clerk at the Rite Aid, at 7395 Lee Highway, was robbed at gunpoint. A man entered the store on Saturday, May 24 shortly after 8 p.m. He approached the clerk, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot, headed west on Lee Highway. The police helicopter and a K-9 team responded to search the area. 

          The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, in his 20s. He was approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 165 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, tan, khaki pants, a black hat and a blue bandana partially covering his face.
