Burglar Caught

            On Friday, June 27 around 12:30 a.m., Fairfax County Police were called to the 4900 block of Fran Place for a burglary in progress.  A 27-year-old Alexandria-area woman was in her home when she heard a noise and saw a pair of hands down the hallway. She left the home and called police. Officers entered, along with a police K9 and found Salvador Minero Chavez, 33, hiding in the shower. Minero Chavez, of 4916 Fran Place, #203 in Alexandria, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of a dog bite and then transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with burglary.
