A 29-year-old woman from Baltimore, Maryland, working in the Hong Kong Express restaurant, located at 6343 Columbia Pike was robbed. Shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, a man walked into the restaurant as the employees were preparing to close. The man produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot eastbound on Columbia Pike.
The suspect was described as Asian, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, between 140 and 160 pounds. He was wearing tan pants, a brown shirt and a black ski mask covering his face.
Detectives are investigating the possibility that this robbery is related to three previous robberies which occurred at Asian markets; one on December 20 another on December 21 and the third on December 31.
