Robbery at Credit Union in Springfield
A 25-year-old man from Woodbridge was robbed. He was working as a teller at the Navy Federal Credit Union, located at 6225 Brandon Avenue. A man approached him shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 15. The suspect handed the teller a note announcing a robbery and implied that he had a gun. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspect fled north on foot, across the parking lot, toward Brandon Avenue.
He was described as black, late 20s to early 30s. He was between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build. His hair was in long dreadlocks. He was wearing a red, green and yellow, knit hat, a dark green, nylon jacket and dark jeans.
