Man Robbed in Springfield

            A man was robbed walking to a bus stop near Northedge Drive and Scott Street on Thursday, January 29. The victim, a 25-year-old Springfield-area man, was walking to the bus stop at 4 in the morning when a vehicle passed him on the road. The car turned around and stopped next him. The driver of the car exited, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim relinquished his wallet and the suspect drove away. There were no injuries.

            The suspect was described as in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing a scarf over his face, a black hoodie, dark pants and dark gloves. The car was described as possibly a 2-door Honda, blue or black in color.
