Bank Employee Robbed in the Franklin Farms Area

            A man robbed the BB&T Bank, located at 13360 Franklin Farms Road, on Saturday, January 31. Around 9:20 a.m. the man entered the bank and approached the teller, a 70-year-old Fairfax-area woman. He brandished a handgun, jumped over the counter and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled out the front door. No one was injured.

            The suspect was described as black, in his 30s. He was about 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a black ski mask that covered his face, a dark, blue sweatshirt with a hood and sneakers.
