Suspicious Death Investigated in Fairfax Station
Fairfax County Police received a 911 call from a home in the 7200 block of Laketree Drive on Monday, February 16 shortly after 10:30 a.m. The caller said someone had been shot. Officers checked the home and found two victims of apparent gunshot wounds. The 58-year-old female, Margaret Ann Teague, had been shot in the torso and was deceased. The 59-year-old man, also shot in the torso, was alive and was transported by ground to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives and Crime Scene technicians processed the scene and are attempting to determine the exact course of events.
This incident is believed to have been domestic in nature and there does not appear to be a threat to public safety.
An autopsy will be completed on the victim sometime today.
