Man Robbed in the Huntington Area

            A 19-year-old Alexandria-area man was reportedly robbed on Wednesday, February 18 as he walked home. The man was walking along Huntington Avenue near Mount Vernon Drive when another man grabbed him from behind. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded personal items and cash from the victim. The victim gave the suspect his jacket, cellular phone and cash. The suspect struck the victim and fled on foot. The victim did not require medical treatment.

            The suspect was described as black, in his late teens. He was about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a short-sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and a black mask that covered his face.
