DWI Directed Patrol Results
In West Springfield Police District

Fairfax County police officers conducted DWI directed patrols throughout the West Springfield District, to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers on Friday, February 20 from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Saturday. Motorists stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated were checked to assure that their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Approximately 62 motorists were stopped. Two arrests were made for DWI. Seven summonses were issued for miscellaneous traffic offenses.

Eight officers and one auxiliary police officer participated in the operation.
