Fatal Crash in Fairfax Area

            A man crashed into a tree on Saturday, February 21 around 8:24 a.m. and died as a result of his injuries. The 74-year-old man was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500, traveling south on Chain Bridge Road near Eaton Place when he apparently lost control of the vehicle. He struck a tree in the median where the vehicle came to rest. Clarence H. Webster, of 14324 Climbing Rose Way #103 in Centreville, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead approximately two hours later. 

            This is the 4th fatal crash in Fairfax County this year. Last year at this time, the same number of fatal crashes had been reported.
