Bank Robbery in the Centreville Area

            The employees of the BB&T Bank, located at 6130 Redwood Square Center, were robbed on Friday, February 27. Around 5:47 p.m. a man entered the bank and brandished a handgun. He jumped over the counter and demanded money. The victims, a 54-year-old Centreville-area woman and a 22-year-old Fairfax-area man, complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

            The suspect was described as black, in his 20s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds with black hair. He was wearing a dark, blue hoodie, black pants, a black mask and gloves.
