DWI Directed Patrol Results
In Fair Oaks Police District

Fairfax County police officers conducted DWI directed patrols throughout the Fair Oaks District, to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers on Saturday, February 28 from 11 p.m. until 3 a.m. Sunday. Motorists stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated were checked to assure that their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Approximately 32 motorists were stopped. Five arrests were made for DWI. Eight summonses were issued for miscellaneous traffic offenses. One person was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public.

Eight officers and three auxiliary police officers participated in the operation.
