UPDATE
Juvenile Found

            Through an immediate and comprehensive investigative effort which included detectives and patrol officers, Star Brinkley was located shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3. Acting on an anonymous tip, officers found her with her mother at a home on Russell Road in the Hybla Valley area. She was taken to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital and found to be in good condition. Child Protective Services took custody of Star. Her mother was transported to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center where a detention order for probation violation was served.

Missing/Endangered Juvenile

            Fairfax County Detectives from the Child Services Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a six month old baby who has been reported missing and endangered.

 Star Brinkley was last seen at her grandparent’s home in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County on Friday, February 27, in the early morning hours. The case was brought to the police department’s attention shortly after 1 p.m. today. Star has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as well as the Virginia Criminal Information Network computer systems.

            Star requires medication twice each day and if it is not administered, it could be life-threatening.

            Star’s mother is a 17-year-old, chronic runaway who is wanted on a detention order for probation violation. Her whereabouts are also unknown.
