Low-cost Rabies Clinic Travels to South County
Animal Shelter Holds April 5 Event at Mount Vernon

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for pets on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Mount Vernon RECenter located at 2017 Belle View Boulevard, Alexandria, Va. 22307.
The cost of the rabies vaccine is $12 per pet and vaccines will be provided for dogs, cats and ferrets. To receive a three-year vaccination, pet owners should bring proof of their pet’s current rabies vaccination. All other pets will receive a rabies vaccine valid for one year. No rabies tags will be issued at the clinic; however, 2009 dog licenses will be sold at the clinic for an additional $10 per dog.
All dogs must be on leashes and cats and ferrets must be in carriers. Cash and checks only will be accepted at the clinic.
The reduced-cost rabies clinic is sponsored by the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and Deepwood Veterinary Clinic.
