Traffic Stop Catches Serial Vandals
On Sunday, March 22 around 11 p.m., police located two men and two women who allegedly damaged 37 vehicles with pellet guns in the Burke-area.
Shortly after 9 p.m., victims began calling police reporting vehicle windows being shot out with pellet guns. Officers checking the area observed a vehicle speeding through the neighborhood. The vehicle was stopped on Pueblo Court near Lundy Place for a traffic violation and officers noticed multiple guns inside the vehicle.
The occupants were removed at gun point and seven pellet guns were found inside the vehicle. The investigation determined that the suspects had allegedly conspired to drive around and damage property at random. A house and several mailboxes were also damaged. Vehicles were found to have been damaged on the following streets:

- 9200 Block of Dorothy Lane
- 5400 Block of Galley Court
- Golden Ball Tavern Court between Huntsman Boulevard and Golden Leaf Court
- 7300 & 9000 Block of Golden Leaf Court
- 7100 Block of Hundsford Lane
- 6600 – 6700 Block of Huntsman Boulevard
- 9700 – 9800 Block of Katharines Drive
- 8600 Block of Kerry Lane
- 6000 & 8900 Block of Marianna Court
- 5900 – 6000 Block of Ridge Ford Drive
- 4700 Block of Roberts Road
- Zion Drive near Jib Lane

Christopher M. Schofield, 19, of 9523 Heathwood Court in Burke and Nestor V. Rodriguez JR., 20, of 6352 Teakwood Court in Burke were both taken into custody. They were transported to the Adult Detention Center and each charged with two counts of destruction and one count of shooting at an occupied dwelling.
The investigation continues.
