Mother and Child Sexually Assaulted

On Sunday, March 29 around 6:13 p.m., a man allegedly inappropriately touched a 33-year-old woman and her 4-year-old girl while they stood on the sidewalk.

Police were called to the 7400 Block of Little River Turnpike to investigate and located the suspect nearby. They took Jose I. Jerez-Cosme, 27, of 4116 Wadsworth Court Apartment 103 in Annandale into custody. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault.

Both victims are from Fairfax and did not require any medical attention.
