Pizza Deliveryman Confronted by Gunman

            Police are investigating the report that someone confronted a pizza deliveryman in the 4600 block of Deming Avenue in Alexandria. Shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, a 37-year-old Springfield man parked in the driveway of the home and got out of his car to carry a pizza to the house. A man appeared at the rear of the car, produced a gun and demanded that the victim go with him. The victim ran to the front of the home and knocked on the door. The suspect fled toward Lincolnia Road. There were no injuries.

            The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black shirt and black pants.
