Two Robbed at Gun Point on Sidewalk
Police were called to the 6400 block of Richmond Highway on Monday, April 6 at about 12:40 a.m. for a man and woman who were robbed at gunpoint. The investigation determined three men allegedly robbed a 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from the Alexandria-area, as they passed by on the sidewalk. Two of the suspects displayed handguns and demanded property from the victims who relinquished personal property. The suspects fled immediately afterward. Neither victim required medical attention.
The first and second suspects were described as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. One had a mustache and wore a black hat, dark jacket, white shirt and blue jeans. The other was clean-shaven and wore a white shirt and blue jeans.
The third suspect was described as black, about 18 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 225 pounds. He was clean-shaven with short black hair and brown eyes. He wore a green jacket and dark jeans.
A second, “possibly” related, event occurred on Janna Lee Avenue near Tamarind Street at 12:42 a.m. Two suspects similar in description to the first robbery exited a vehicle and allegedly displayed handguns as they robbed two Alexandria-area men.
